Mega Diancie + Substitute Electrium-Z Magnezone

Posted by M1dnight00

Mega Diancie
Ferrothorn
Gliscor
Tornadus-Therian
Greninja
Magnezone

Analysis

This team is constructed around a balanced VoltTurn + trapping core. mega-diancie serves as both a hazard deterrent and offensive pressure point, shaping early-game dynamics. ferrothorn establishes hazards and provides defensive stability, forming the backbone against special attackers.

gliscor is introduced as a long-term win condition, capable of sweeping once Steel-types and Ice coverage are removed. To facilitate this, magnezone is included specifically to trap and eliminate Steel-types, creating openings for both Diancie and Gliscor.

tornadus-therian and greninja form a VoltTurn core, ensuring continuous momentum and positioning advantage. Tornadus provides Defog support and disruption, while Greninja offers speed control and flexible revenge killing. The overall structure balances offensive pressure with defensive resilience and positional play.

Clouds Across the Moon - SFLO Nidoking + SubSeed Loom BO

Breloom
Tornadus-Therian
Greninja
Mega Scizor
Heatran

Analysis

Hey everyone! I got drafted in French Community League back in September, and this was one of the best teamtours I've been part of. I played USM OU every week of this tournament and built a lot of teams, which is probably my favorite aspect of competitive Pokémon.
I'm gonna share today an edit of one of my absolute favorite teams that I built to face Dflo on the 7th week of this tournament. We were guaranteed to make playoffs at this point, I didn't feel like building a standard team and I just wanted to use Nidoking, since it's one of my favorite Pokémon to use competitively. I ended up losing this game because of something really dumb (that's foreshadowing, you'll see what I'm talking about), but I really liked the team so I edited it and improved it a bit.

Tornadus-Therian
Slowbro
Chansey
Mega Scizor
Gliscor
Tangrowth

Analysis

The foundation of this team is the Regenerator Core ( Tornadus-Therian , Slowbro , Tangrowth ), designed to outlast the opponent through passive healing and constant pivoting. Chansey was added to cover the special defensive gaps that the Regenerator trio couldn't handle alone. To prevent the team from being too passive, Mega-Scizor and Gliscor were chosen as "Bulky Offense" threats that benefit from the chip damage provided by the core. Finally, the move choices specifically Teleport and Future Sight on Slowbro were picked to create a synergistic offensive pressure that forces the opponent into uncomfortable positions while your sweepers set up

Mega Diancie + Zamazenta Offense

Mega Diancie
Zamazenta
Slowbro
Kingambit
Tornadus-Therian
Garchomp

Analysis

This team was built around a Future Sight–pivot core designed to overwhelm defensive positioning. Slowbro forms the strategic foundation, enabling delayed pressure that turns conventional switch-ins into liabilities. From there, Choice Band Zamazenta was added to capitalize immediately on Future Sight turns, forcing heavy damage without setup. Mega-Diancie provides both hazard deterrence through Magic Bounce and proactive Spikes stacking, ensuring long-term chip damage supports the offensive core. To punish Defog and trap key threats, Defiant Kingambit was included, giving the team a strong Dark-type presence that synergizes with Future Sight sequences. Tornadus-Therian completes the pivot engine, offering speed control, special bulk, and U-turn momentum. Finally, Dragonium Z Garchomp was added as a Stealth Rock setter and independent breaker, giving the team a second explosive win condition. The end result is a layered balance team that wins by combining hazards, delayed Future Sight pressure, and powerful immediate wallbreakers.
