Double Mega - YanMega and Mega Lopunny

Yanmega
Mega Lopunny
Hippowdon
Heatran
Clefable
Latios

Analysis

The team is constructed around a dual-offense core of yanmega and mega-lopunny , combining immediate special pressure with high-speed physical cleanup. Yanmega’s Tinted Lens wallbreaking forces structural damage early, enabling Lopunny to capitalize later. To support this offensive core, hippowdon was introduced as a reliable Stealth Rock setter and general defensive pivot, providing both hazard pressure and physical stability.

heatran was selected to address Steel-type matchups, provide a Fire immunity, and add speed control via a Choice Scarf set. clefable complements the team as a secondary win condition, particularly against slower archetypes, while also offering defensive resilience. Finally, latios completes the structure by providing hazard control and a secondary special attacker, ensuring the team maintains both offensive and defensive flexibility.

Analysis

The idea behind this team was to create a balanced offensive core centered around lopunny-mega and latios , supported by strong pivoting and defensive stability.

I started with lopunny-mega as a fast offensive threat that can apply immediate pressure and force switches. To complement this, latios was added as a special wallbreaker that can weaken bulky cores and provide strong coverage.

To support this offensive core, I added landorus-therian and zapdos as a defensive backbone. landorus-therian provides Stealth Rock and Intimidate support, while also functioning as a pivot with U-Turn zapdos handles physical attackers and spreads paralysis, giving the team valuable speed control.

The team needed a win condition, which led to the addition of annihilape . Its ability to scale with Rage Fist and boost with Bulk Up makes it extremely threatening in longer games.

Finally, togekiss was added to provide a secondary setup sweeper and utility through Yawn, forcing switches and creating opportunities to set up.

Overall, the team focuses on maintaining momentum through pivoting while gradually weakening the opposing team, allowing annihilape or togekiss to clean up late-game.
