Dual Iron Press Mega Slowbro Semi-Stall

Posted by M1dnight00

Mega Slowbro
Weavile
Alomomola
Gliscor
Blissey
Corviknight

Analysis

The team was built around the synergy of Mega-Slowbro as a dual-boosting tank that can solo-win games once Special Attackers are removed. To facilitate this, Alomomola was added to provide necessary Wish support since mega-Slowbro recovery (Rest) is passive. Blissey and Gliscor were integrated to form a nearly unbreakable special defensive core while providing both Stealth Rock and Spikes. Corviknight was chosen to provide hazard removal and a secondary physical win condition that shares the "Iron Press" theme. Finally, ChoiceBand Weavile was the crucial "Semi-Stall" addition, providing the speed and Pursuit-trapping capability to eliminate Ghost and Psychic threats that could otherwise block the team's primary offensive move, Body Press.

Super Team 11 - 2025

Moltres
Dragonite
Mega Metagross
Alomomola
Clodsire
Clefable

Analysis

The foundation of this team was built by Sangvip97 aka Pureheart2803 on the synergy of Mega-Metagross and Alomomola , creating a "Pivot-and-Power" core where mega-metagross provides the pressure and Alomomola provides the longevity.

To handle the metagame's aggressive setup sweepers, Clodsire was added for its Unaware ability and its capacity to stack entry hazards, which pair perfectly with Dragonite ’s phazing capabilities.

Moltres was integrated to provide a much-needed resistance to Ground and Fire moves, as well as essential Defog support to ensure Dragonite ’s Multiscale remains intact.

Clefable was chosen as the final piece to provide a secondary win condition and a reliable check to Dark, Fighting and Dragon types, resulting in a composition that prioritizes Heavy-DutyBoots on almost every member to maximize the team's efficiency in long, hazard-heavy games.

Performance: Peaked #6, #16 and #26 on PRO Ladder

Analysis

I'll start the RMT with a proper introduction as to who I am. Hello everyone, my name is YaVR_1 on smogon however I'm known as Blue on PS! The main reason I built this team was to see how well could a breaker like choicespecs Raging-bolt perform in the current National Dex meta where offense and bo have been thriving whereas most balance teams have been struggling due to the sheer number of wall breakers as well as z moves plaguing the meta and I must admit, Raging-bolt performed admirably well on this specific balance team meant to have a positive mu into offense. Now I began building the team around choicespecs raging-bolt as the teams main breaker. Thunderclap provided it with valuable priority, enabling it to rkill pokemon faster then it such as diancie-mega or iron-valiant . However, I noticed that it struggled vs ferrothorn , ting-lu shedinja & blissey , hence I decided to add kingambit . Not only did kingambit pursuit trap blissey & shedinja , making it easy for raging-bolt to break through stall, but vs bo, it was able to break past ferrothorn via knock off and cripple ting-lu by removing leftovers. Since the core lacked longevity, I decided to run weezing-Galar since it's one of the only pokemon capable of defogging on gholdengo, enabling this team to beat those hazard stack teams. Sd + sub samurott-hisui also has a good mu vs this team and weezing-Galar helps with that mu asw. rockyhelmet corviknight + assaultvest alomomola form the complete defensive core of the team, with alomomola alleviating the mu into sun & rain teams. choicescarf great-tusk acts as the teams speed control, rkilling many offensive powerhouses such as tapu-lele & diancie-mega
